Our Services
Servicing
When an item is brought to us for a possible repair, our team does everything they can to make sure that your models are getting the best care possible. This means that sometimes we may need to keep your vehicles for a little while so that we can get a closer look and get to the root of the problem. For assessments like these we require a servicing fee of £20*, which will contribute to the full payment if any repairs can be made.

Renovation
Does your model or set require cleaning or polishing? Are they in need of any minor fixes or paint touch-ups? Why not let us refresh your collectables to their original glory with the help of our team and their magic touch! Whether it be a small crack needing a fix or a desire for an entirely new look, our team can provide you with almost any service you and your vehicles need.

Repair
At Collectables R Us we aim to give you the desired results within a reasonable timescale. This very much depends on the severity of any damage and types of repairs necessary to bring your beloved models back on track. Our team specializes in vehicle repairs and give them the best care your collection deserves. This can include, but is not limited to:

- Exchange or repair of faulty parts

No matter whether you’re looking for a complete repair or just spare parts – vintage Legos, replacement wheels, spare fishplates, you name it – we will sure try our best to help. Valuation of Private Collections
There often comes a time for when your collection may need to find a new home. At Collectables R Us, we understand it can be hard to pass your beloved collection, and it’s even harder to know where to start. We offer valuations on collections, big or small, as well as some friendly advice on how to go about finding a new owner or few for your models. Pricing of valuations is listed below.
Valuations are to be done in person, as it is difficult to gauge the quality and condition of models and their boxes using pictures. Have your own collection you’re looking at selling? Contact us with your questions or to set up a time that’s right for you to pop by with your collectables.

Repairs assessment and/or deposit: £20 + VAT
Minor repairs/restoration of up to 30 minutes: £20 + parts + VAT
Personalised number plate: £25 per model + VAT
Sound card fitting: £30 + parts + VAT
Locomotive personalisation: £30 + VAT
Hourly rate (repair, commissions, building etc): £40/hr + VAT
Valuation of more than 4 items: £40/hr + VAT

More Details
All of our services require a non-refundable payment of £24 (VAT included) as a form of assessment fee or deposit upfront. Should you choose to go ahead with a repair, renovation, or commission project after the initial assessment, this £24 charge will count as a deposit and will be deducted from the total cost of the services provided.
Our hourly rate counts towards many things we do during commission, repair , ad valuation process – our time, efforts, research, convenience, expertise, resources, and care towards your model.
Valuations are also charged at our standard £40/hour + VAT rate (for collection of more than 4 items) done in person only, with one of our team members. There are many factors we take in account for when we value your collections, and we take pride in trying our best to give your collection an accurate valuation. We kindly request that you contact us before bringing in any collections for valuation, as we have plenty of other jobs ongoing alongside each other and we would not want to keep you waiting longer than necessary.
Commission work is considered for most subjects such models or model kits of cars, boats, planes, and trains, and are subjected to a £40* per hour rate (not inclusive of any extra parts needed to order for the commission). We define commission work as the execution of work surrounding the personalization of your desired vehicle, such as re-spray; switching from left- to right-hand drive and vice versa; and much more.
We do not in any way imply that we are experts, specialists, or professionals in the above areas. Our team is comprised of talented model makers with decades of experience and knowledge on repairs, renovations, and commission work of all types with a high percentage of customer satisfaction.
Remote control repairs: we try our best where we can but unfortunately we may not always be able to solve your issue even after an assessment. Remote control repairs can be tricky especially with sourcing the right parts for you vehicle. Please enquire with us and keep in mind that the assessment fee is non-refundable.
